There is nothing new or
unusual about cremation. Cremation dates dates back to the Stone
Age and was widely practiced by the Roman Empire. Today more and more Americans
are choosing to be cremated. There are many different
reasons for a family to select cremation. For whatever reason
cremation is the right choice for you, there are many options for you to
consider when it comes time to pre-plan your cremation.
-
Do you want your body
present for a viewing or memorial service prior to the cremation?
-
What to do with the
cremains after the cremation? Have them interred at a cemetery,
resting over the fireplace or scattered?
-
Would you like a
fancy urn or is the container provided by the mortuary or cremation
society suitable?
There are many more
options that I would be more than happy to discuss with you in detail.

Price
As far as the costs go
for cremation here in San Diego, they vary from family to family
depending on their different need and/or wishes. A direct
cremation can be performed with the cremains given back to the family
for less than $1000. If the family wishes to have a full
memorial service with a viewing, a fancy urn and graveside service and
prices can get close to $10,000.
Financing
In most situations your
pre-need cremation plan can be paid off with monthly, quarterly or
annual payments. You can also set up automatic payments from
your checking account so that you will never have to worry about
missing or being late on your payments.
