Funerals
"The Celebration of a Life
Well Lived"
There are very few things
one person can have in common with every other person on Earth.
Unfortunately death is one on of these things. At some point in
everyone's life, they will be affected with a death.
Nothing is harder to cope
with than the loss of a loved one. In my line of business I
witness this on a daily basis. A pre planned funeral, or pre-need,
relieves loved ones of uncertainty and confusion because all of the
difficult decisions, as well as the financing, have been taken care of.
Planning Your
Funeral
Planning your funeral is
very important. Ask yourself, "If I died today, what would I want
my funeral to be like?" Do you want large memorial service at your
church or do you prefer a small intimate service at the graveside, or
both?
One important aspect to
take into consideration is that your funeral is for the
loved ones you leave behind as much as it is for you. Ask them
about their thoughts and feeling on the matter.
I also like to tell
families not to think of their funeral as a funeral. Think
of it as "The Celebration of a Life Well Lived." Of
course there is no way to remove all of the grief and sadness from those
you leave behind, but plan your funeral in a way that helps them
remember all of the good times you had together. Let them
Celebrate your Life rather than Mourn your Loss.
There are a lot ways to achieve this and I will be more than happy to
sit down with you and give you some suggestions.

Price
How much does a funeral
cost? It depends on what you want. A direct burial with a
graveside service can cost less than $2000. It is not uncommon for
elaborate funerals to cost upwards of $10,000.
One of the most expensive
parts of your funeral will probably be the casket. The exterior of
your casket can be made out of a wood composite or the exterior
can be made out of copper. The interior of your casket can be
lined with "white Taffeta" or the colored velvet of your choice.
The price of your casket can be $300 or $6000 with many choices and
prices in between.
Financing
In most situations your
pre-need funeral plan can be paid off with monthly, quarterly or
annual payments. You can also set up automatic payments from
your checking account so that you will never have to worry about
missing or being late on your payments.
